Applicants are evaluated on their interest in pursuing boundary surveying and their history in the profession.

Qualified Applicant will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

ABOUT AMBROSE EDWARD GRIFFIN, P. L. S.
Ambrose Edward Griffin was born on October 14, 1926, in Oregon. He died on December 29, 1977 in Sacramento, California Ed’s surveying experience started in Oregon with the United States Forest 1965 he transferred to the San Francisco office. In 1974 he transferred to Land Management in Sacramento as Chief of Cadastre. Ed served the California Land Surveyors Association in several ways: East officer, State Committee Chair, Director-at-Large, State President in 1976. He was licensed as a Land Surveyor in California in 1966. Ed was a true believer in Land Surveying education, as an early supporter State program and an advocate of Professional Development for all surveyors. completed his college education after coming to California, earning his degree in Economics from San Francisco State College. Ed died tragically, shot by a stray bullet while unloading groceries.
