Bill Telling Memorial Scholarship
Sacramento Chapter
$750 Scholarship


Qualified applicants will currently be enrolled full time in an accredited degree program in surveying/geomatics approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States.

(or)

Qualified Applicant will be currently enrolled full time in a community college program in surveying/geomatics in the Sacramento Chapter area.

(or)

Qualified applicant will be currently enrolled part time in an accredited degree program in surveying/geomatics approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States or a community college program in surveying/geomatics in the Chapter area and be currently working at least 15 hours/week in a surveying related capacity.

Candidates will be evaluated for potential selection by applying the following preferences as listed in order of importance.

1. A student member of the Chapter in good standing. A student member in good standing will be as defined in current Chapter Bylaws.

2. A current or former resident of the Sacramento Chapter area.

3. A student who has demonstrated an interest in the surveying profession by attending seminars, workshops, conferences, or in other ways has demonstrated an interest in the surveying profession beyond school and employment.

Should no candidate be selected the scholarship award shall be held in the Foundation’s account for a future award.

Qualified applicants will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and timeframe.

If a candidate cannot be found to meet the criteria listed above, the foundation will NOT select anyone and the scholarship will rollover.
