$500 Scholarships

Applicants demonstrate an interest in surveying and CLSA.

Ted passed away on August 24, 2010 after bravely battling cancer for two years and still remaining an active member of CLSA and the San Joaquin Valley Chapter. Ted served as Chapter President, Newsletter Editor, and State Representative. Ted was a great friend to the surveying profession and he will be missed.

  1. Qualified Applicant will complete a foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and time frame.
  2. Qualified Applicant will be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or Geomatics Engineering approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America.


    will be currently enrolled in an associate degree program in surveying, surveying engineering, geomatics, or geomatics engineering with the intent to attend an accredited surveying course baccalaureate program or pursue a career in the land surveying profession.
  3. Qualified Applicant will:
    1. 1st choice - Live in the San Joaquin Valley Chapter (Madera, Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties).
    2. 2nd choice - Live in the San Joaquin Valley Chapter area or in adjacent chapter areas (Merced, Mariposa, and Kern Counties).
  4. Candidates will be selected by applying the following preferences as listed in no particular order of importance.
    1. Maintains a 3.0 grade point average in their Major.
    2. Have experience in the land surveying profession.
    3. Have already achieved a valid LSIT
    4. Are Trig*Star winners
  5. We want to choose our scholarship recipients ourselves and if a candidate cannot be found to meet the criteria listed above, the foundation will NOT select anyone and the scholarship will rollover.
